Mr. Christopher Devon Lee Stringer, age 25, of Rockmart, GA passed away at his residence on October 13, 2023, following an illness of several months.
Christopher was born in Rome, GA on January 28, 1998. He graduated from Heritage High School in Ringgold, GA and had lived in the Knoxville, TN area for the past two years before returning to Rockmart.
He enjoyed cooking, music, painting, fishing and spending time with his daughter. Christopher was an employee of Lee Stringer Construction.
Survivors include his wife, Christy Stringer; daughter, Elaina Stringer; parents: Lee and Tonya Stringer: sisters: Anna Davenport, Chasity Atkisson, Symantha Rhudy, Anslee Stringer and Christlynn Stringer; brother, Trevor Rhudy; grandmother, Dale Terry; grandfather, Ed Terry; great grandmother, Ellen Jordan; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 3:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Jack Goss officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Trevor Rhudy, Chris Odell, Jonathan Guice, Christopher Newport, Frankie Clafin, and Jesse Weaver. Honorary pallbearers will include Jimmy Gibson and Robert Venton.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour at 3:00 pm.
