Mr. Baxter Towery, age 77, of Rockmart, GA, the Yorkville Community, passed away Saturday morning, October 28, 2023.
Mr. Baxter was born in Ellijay, GA, on May 8, 1946, son of the late Mark L. Towery and Lula Clark Towery and was a long-time resident of the Yorkville Community.
He retired from Lockheed-Martin after 34 years of service and was a member of the New Freedom Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Towery is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Diantha McKinney Towery; son, Joseph (Susan) Towery. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Towery will be cremated, and a Memorial service will be held at New Freedom Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
