Mrs. Barbara “Bobby” Ann Farmer Dawson, age 82 of Aragon, Georgia passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones on December 9th, 2023.
She was born on April 5th, 1941, in Cedartown, Georgia to the late Roy Edward Farmer and Lucille Edna Millican Hitchcock.
Mrs. Dawson was proceeded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Doyle Dawson; daughter, Hope Marie Dawson Williams; brothers, Ronnie Joe Farmer and Ronald Van Hitchcock; and sisters, Mary Elizabeth Chandler and Kathy Lynn Short.
Mrs. Dawson is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Secunda) Dawson, Tony (Kathy) Dawson, and Darrell (Staci) Dawson; daughters, Judy Wood and Donna (Joe) Lawrence; brother, Roy Denny Farmer; sister, Joan Farmer Smith; 17 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Dawson was a devoted housewife and doting motherly figure to many. She loved being together with her family, especially for the holidays, and making everyone laugh. She was compassionate as well as generous, always stepping up to help others before ever being asked. She was a great blessing to all that had the honor of knowing her, and she will be missed very dearly.
The funeral service for Mrs. Dawson will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at two o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Chaplain Michael Westmoreland officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Dawson will receive family and friends on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 12:00pm until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers; Kenneth Dawson, Joe Lawrence, Chris Dawson, Cameron Dye, Little Tony Dawson, and Gage Williams.
