School is about to start, and Aragon’s finest in blue wanted to make sure kids went back to class with the supplies they needed with an event on Saturday.
Following up from earlier in the month, the Aragon Police Department’s hot dog fundraiser on July 4 – combined with donations thanks to Walmart of Rockmart and Dollar General of Rockmart – provided enough for kids to drop by with their parents on July 29 to grab some of the paper, pencils and much more that are needed for class and homework.

The Aragon PD also will be taking donations throughout the rest of the year heading into the holiday season for the city’s annual event where they host Santa and give out toys to youth.
