Mrs. Anita Cooper Clay, age 78, of Cedartown passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023.
She was born in Cedartown, January 4, 1945, daughter of the late Harold Cooper and Mildred Boling Cooper.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by son, John Clay; grandson, Stephen “Aubrey” Clay.
She is survived by her children, Jeff Clay and his wife, Stephanie, Kirt Clay and his wife, Jenny; grandchildren, Kara Clay, Evan Clay, and Emmajean Clay; sisters, Carla Forrister and Renee Runyon. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Snapp and Rev. Terry Simms officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Smith & Miller Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Jeff Clay, Kirt Clay, Evan Clay, Brandon Garrett, Ken Forrister, and Bart Forrister.
