Fireworks shooting off after dark for Polk

The owners of American Dream Convenience are bringing some fun to Cedartown on July 4th since there’s no official event in Polk County, and they are inviting everyone to come out and enjoy the day as well.

This is the fifth year the owners have gathered over the past five years. First it was a family, then inviting some more folks, and over the past few years has expanded into a community-wide event.

The event on Tuesday is free for all to enjoy from 2 to 8 p.m., and will include DJ Chilango Mix, inflatables for youth, the Torta Michoacana food truck, and fireworks after dark and much more, per the owners post on Facebook. That also includes a mechanical bull ride, which will be available until 5 p.m.

Free hot dogs and burgers will also be handed out from 3 to 5 p.m. with bottles of water.

American Dream Convenience is located at 1006 N. Main St., Cedartown, not far from the Dollar General Market.
