Congrats goes out to a local teen who just rose in the ranks of scouting.
Local youth Mark Blalock has been involved in all kinds of projects and received numerous honors and accolades throughout his time in the Polk School District. (Too many not to distract from the point of this post.)
One of those latest is his completion of the Eagle Scout ranking with the scouts. He’s a member of Troop 23 here in Polk County.
PSD posted the following announcement on their Facebook page on Feb. 23 honoring Blalock for his accomplishment:

Congratulations to Rockmart High School senior, Mark Blalock! He is officially an EAGLE SCOUT! This is the highest achievement that can be earned, and this student embodies everything it represents.
