Zachary Allan Bowman, age 23, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
Zachary was born in Rome, GA, on October 10, 1999, the son of Brent Allan Bowman and Kristy Leigh Burgdorf Bowman.
He had lived all his life in Rockmart and was of the Baptist faith. Zachary graduated from Rockmart High School in 2018, received his Bachelor’s degree form Kennesaw State University (Magna Cum Laude) and was working on his Master’s degree. He worked at Lockheed Martin Corporation.
Zachary loved guns and shooting, video games, and traveling. He was an avid University of Georgia Football fan, a history buff and enjoyed specialty foods.
Zachary was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Richard “Ricky” Parks Burgdorf.
Zachary is survived by his parents, Brent and Kristy Bowman; sister, Kyleigh Bren Bowman; brother, Barrett Christian Bowman; grandparents, Rita Arnold, and Raude Bowman, Jr. and his wife Linda.
Funeral services for Zachary will be held Monday afternoon, April 10, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. in New Prospect Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Purser and Mr. David Edge officiating. Interment will follow in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.
Zachary’s family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.
Pallbearers will include Avery Treadwell, Mark Treadwell, Barrett Bowman, Jeff Bowman, Peyton Bowman, Brian Burgdorf, and Gabe Watkins.
