Mr. William Roland Jordan

Mr. William Roland Jordan, age 81, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022. He was born on September 25, 1940 in Buena Vista, Georgia. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Jordan.

Mr. Jordan was a United States Army Veteran, and served in the US National Guard. Mr. Jordan graduated from Georgia State University. He started out with Pure Oil in real estate; he was a member of Georgia’s Oilman’s Association, and cofounder of SOJC. He acquired W.G. Bruner Oil Company in 1973, for 30 years.

Since 1974, Mr. Jordan was a member of First Baptist Church of Cedartown where he was a Deacon. He was on the board of directors of First National Bank of Polk County, a member of the Exchange Club, and also a member of the Polk County Development Authority.

Mr. Jordan is survived by his children, Kelly Dennis (Brad), Jason Jordan (Molly), and Jenean Prater (Chad); grandchildren, Tyler Dennis, Lily Kate Prater; Caroline Jordan, Neelley Jordan, Stuart Jordan, and Brody Prater; sister, Kathleen Lovelace (James); niece, Sheila Daniel; and nephews, Patrick Daniel and Christopher Daniel.

Mr. Jordan is preceded by his parents and loving wife, Donna Neelley Jordan.

The funeral service for Mr. William Roland Jordan will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at two o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

The family of Mr. Jordan will receive family and friends on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from twelve o’clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Flowers are being accepted; however, donations can be made to the Cedartown Samaritan House, 302 Wissahickon Avenue, Cedartown, Georgia 30125.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: John Kelley, Patrick Daniel, Chad Woods, Tyler Dennis, Luke Ivie, Davis Wagoner, Logan Smith, Stuart Jordan, and Brody Prater. Honorary pallbearers will be the Solid Rock Men’s Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church.
