Mr. William Edward Short, age 66, of Rome, GA, passed away Thursday January 4, 2024.
Mr. Short was born August 10, 1957 to parents, the late Mr. Edward William Short and the late Doris Hopkins Short.
Mr. Short spent the majority of his life as a truck driver for H & W. Mr. Short will always be fondly remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Short is preceded in death by his loving wife, Cathy Short; son, Scott Short; and siblings, James Bobby Ferguson, Jeff Ferguson, and Karen Bridges.
Mr. Short is survived by his loving children, Amy Short Lemieux (Jim) and April Short Darby (Teadric); grandchildren, Corbin Whatley, Ambrea Darby, and Kaylee Mendez; and great-grandson, Huxley Whatley.
In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Short will be cremated and a private family service will be conducted at a later date.
