Teresa Jean “Sissy” Wheeler

Teresa Jean ” Sissy” Wheeler, age 68, of Rossville, Ga., passed away suddenly on Thursday afternoon, January 13, 2022.

Teresa was born on April 17, 1953, the daughter of the late James C. Wheeler and the late Jackie Inez Shelton Wheeler. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, James O. Wheeler and Ronnie L. Wheeler.

Teresa loved life and loved her family and friends no matter what. She loved to make others feel appreciated and that they mattered. She always tried to see the good in others. She had a wit and sense of humor like no other.

She was a Christian and loved the Lord with her whole heart. She loved and gave so much of herself to others. Even when undeserved, she forgave.

Charles Dickens said, ” A loving heart is the truest wisdom”.

With that said, our precious Teresa ” Sissy” was so full of wisdom and so much more.

She is survived by her loving family, her partner of over twenty-five years, Carol A. Perdue; her sister and brother in law, Linda W. Hollimon and Mike Hollimon; brothers, Paul C. Wheeler and Kenneth L. Wheeler; nephews, Keith Wheeler, Michael Hollimon, Chris Wheeler, Paul Daniel Wheeler, Jason Wheeler, and Dwayne Wheeler; aunt, Carol Shelton and uncles, Wayne Shelton and James E. Smith.  A number of great-nephews and nieces and cousins also survive

In keeping with her wishes, Teresa was cremated. The memorial service for Teresa “Sissy” Wheeler will be conducted on Saturday afternoon, January 22, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. from the Chaple of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home.
