Mrs. Teresa Adele Preston, age 66, of Cartersville, GA, passed away Monday morning, December 25, 2023.
Teresa was born in Marietta, GA, on July 27, 1957, daughter of Margaret Watkins Faulk and the late James Faulk. She had lived her childhood years in Marietta.
Teresa has lived in Cartersville since 2019, moving there from Buchanan, GA, where she made her home for 20 years.
She was a homemaker and housewife and a member of Freedom Church. Teresa enjoyed traveling with her lady friends, loved her dog, Casper, and cherished the time she got to spend with family.
In addition to her father, Teresa was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Preston.
Teresa is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tanya and Michael Jack Goss of Silver Creek, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Rebecca Preston of Woodstock, GA; mother, Margaret Faulk; three brothers, Johnny (Amy) Faulk, Kip Faulk, and Havon (Kimberly) Faulk. Eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services for Teresa will be Friday, December 29, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Jack Goss officiating. Kimberly Faulk will bring the eulogy.
Teresa’s family will receive friends Friday afternoon at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until the service hour.
