The 2022 Summer Concert Series in downtown Cedartown kicks off this Saturday with the Band Bentley coming to play, and local favorites serving up food during the kickoff to the 8th year of the annual series providing free entertainment to local residents.

The show is set to start at 7 p.m. It is free for the community to enjoy, though seating will have to be provided by participants on their own.

The band headed by Derek Bentley on vocals includes Tyler Sullivan on lead guitar and background vocals, Brett Crawford on rhythm guitar, Daulton Swindall on bass and Tyler “T-Mack” Morgan on drums.

They’ve played area shows and their music is a mix of southern style rock and modern country sounds. (At least from what we’ve heard online.)

Rudy’s, Frios and the Shuck Shack will all be on hand selling food during the evening event.

City officials will also have the water fountains on for families to enjoy.

Expect them to want to, as temps on Saturday are expected to be upward of 93 on Saturday. Chances of storms are in the forecast, but not enough to warrant immediate concern.

Dates for the Summer Concert Series following are July 16 and August 27.
