Mr. Rudolph Hindmon, Jr., Age 79, of Rockmart, Ga., passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 6th, 2023, at his home, surrounded by family.
Rudy was born in Aragon, Ga on Sept 3, 1944, the son of the late Rudolph Hindmon, Sr, and the late Mildred Roberson Hindmon. He had lived most of his life in Rockmart and was a member of Hills Creek Baptist Church. He was a 1962 graduate of Rockmart High School.
After meeting the love of his life Rosetta Hembree at Goodyear Mill in 1963, the two were united in marriage on April 12, 1964. Their life together was an example for all who knew him. He worked 11 ½ years at Marquette Cement Company and eventually retired from the City of Rockmart after 26 years of dedicated service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Richard Hindmon, sister, Linda Faye Hembree.
He is survived by his helpmate of 59 years, Rosetta Hindmon, his children Clarissa (Keith) Crowley, Regina (Timmy) Gentry, and Chris (Rebecca) Hindmon. 7 Grandchildren Kayla, Andrew, Stephanie, Dylan, Emma, Emily, and Deacon. 5 Great Grandchildren Payton, Sophie, Charlotte, Matthew, and Freya. He was also blessed with many brothers and sisters-in-law, some of which have already passed away.

Funeral Services for Mr. Hindmon will be Friday December 8, 2023 at 1:00, at Hills Creek Baptist Church with the Elder Todd Tibbitts, and Elder Brent Edwards officiating. Elder Colt Deems will deliver the prayer. Interment services will follow in the Hills Creek Church Cemetery.
Mr. Hindmon will lie in state at the church on Friday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.
The following will be serving as pallbearers, Michael, Shane, Daniel Hembree, Doug Hindmon, Kevin Wigley, Kenneth McCarty, and Jeff Buffington.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the male members of Hills Creek Church, along with Keith Sorrells, Tony Robinson, Junior Thomason, Steve Turner, Jeff Hulsey, Junior Bowman, William Bowman, and Jerry Ferguson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
