Mr. Robert Johnny Hufstetler Sr., age 72, of Taylorsville, GA, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2023, in an Atlanta Hospital.
Mr. Hufstetler was born in Cartersville, GA on May 18, 1951, a son of the late Robert Alvin Hufstetler and Ruby Christine Waits Hufstetler.
He had lived the greater part of his life in the Taylorsville and Euharlee communities and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Hufstetler was a plumber and loved to fish.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hufstetler was preceded in death by a daughter, Christy Hufstetler, sister, Ann Dover and a brother-in-law, Ronnie Sanford.
Mr. Hufstetler is survived by a son, Robert J. Hufstetler, Jr. (Lauren); daughter, Mandy Hufstetler Crone (Shane); grandchildren, Tyler Crone, J.J. Payne, Tommy Payne (Krista); great-grandchildren, Jax Payne, Nell Payne and Drake Payne; sisters, Jean Sanford and Frances Shoemaker (Jerry); brother, Carl Lee Hufstetler (Kathy); brother-in-law, Dillard Dover. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Hufstetler will be Tuesday afternoon, January 9, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Hufstetler’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Monday evening January 8, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will include J.J. Payne, Tyler Crone, Tommy Payne, Shane Crone, Robert Hufstetler, Jr. and Jamie Shoemaker.
