The son of one of two victims of a break-in is offering a reward for more information that ends in an arrest that included the property of Rockmart City Council member Marty Robinson.

J.R. Forsyth posted on Facebook that he is offering a $2,000 reward to help find the still unknown suspects who threw a candle through his parent’s front window in an attempted break-in overnight at 1 a.m. on College Street.

Though they were chased off by his father and no one was seriously hurt, the alleged suspect or suspects did however get away with some items next door from a car after smashing the passenger side window.

The house next door is owned by Council member Marty Robinson, and the vehicle owned by his girlfriend Tammy Jarrell.

Along with finding some of her belongings left behind on the neighbor’s porch and in the ditch down College Street, the perpetrator(s) also left behind empty alcohol and Kratom bottles, and a trail of blood and a bloodstained bag.

Police Chief Randy Turner had yet to respond for more information on the incident.

Those who have knowledge about these College Street break-ins are encouraged to contact Rockmart Police at 770-684-6558.
