Donald James Taschereau

An Aragon man remained in the Polk County Jail on a trio of charges related to a complaint made by a family member that he cussed them out, threatened to kill them and fled from the residence when police were called.

Polk County Police took Donald James Taschereau, 36, of an Aragon Road address, into custody on Saturday, May 22 around 11:15 a.m. in the parking lot of Aragon City Hall after he fled on foot from the family member’s home on Aragon Road.

Per the report, the family member told officers that Taschereau had been “yelling and cussing in the kitchen” and when asked to leave forcefully threatened to kill them.

A witness added that Taschereau had shoved the family member across the kitchen.

Another family member on the scene gave police an idea of Taschereau’s whereabouts, stating they saw him in the Dollar General parking lot before coming over to the house to help.

Officers ultimately found him at Aragon City Hall, where he was given a criminal trespass warning by the Aragon Police. The Polk County Police took him into custody for terroristic threats and acts, simple battery and on the criminal trespass charge.

He remained in jail as of this posting with no bond set.
