Mr. Randy R. Barber, age 69, of Rockmart, GA passed away Friday, June 24, 2022 at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Randy was born in Rockmart, GA on January 10, 1953 a son of the late Preston Barber and the late Iris Marks Barber.
He had lived the greater part of his life in Polk County, was a member of the Church of God and was an owner in MRB Services, working in the heating, air conditioning and plumbing contracting field since 1972. Randy also enjoyed working on classic cars, especially mustangs.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Trudy Barber.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Thompson Barber to whom he was married on July 7, 1972; son, Steven Barber (Ann); daughter, Sherri Barber; granddaughter, Rebecca Barber; two step grandchildren: Shelby Hill and Jackson Martin; brother, Max Barber (Martha).
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 11:00 am in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Levurne Batts officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will include: Steven Barber, Greg Roberson, Dewayne Moore, Ricky Barber, Beaux Chappell and Chad Winters.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
