Mark the calendar for the end of the month with open houses planned for campuses across the Polk School District’s start of the 2021-22 academic year.

The Open House schedule for schools being held district-wide on Friday, July 30 covers all grade levels and will be held at staggered times to accommodate parents with children at different grade levels and campuses.

Elementary Schools will hold their open house sessions from 2 to 6 p.m., followed by the Middle School from 4 to 7 p.m., and the high schools from 5 to 8 p.m..

The only exception will be a 3 p.m. session for Cedartown and Rockmart High rising seniors.

Each School will have specific instructions on entering and exiting the buildings, so check on those via their websites or social media pages as they announce specific plans.

Masks are suggested but not required for participation in the months-end event.

The district recently announced their plans to go back to full in-person learning for all students when school starts back on August 3.

This year also sees the shift to a 4-day student week on a Tuesday to Friday schedule.
