A trio who were in a Toyota Camry early Monday morning and caught by police laying drag during an illegal turn were arrested by Polk County Police on drug and other charges, according to reports.

The March 15 arrest of Michael A McCurley, 32, of a Forsyth address, along with Marty Lyn Meadows, 36, of Marietta and Kathryn Margaret-Ann Griffith, 40, of Austell, came after police spotted the Camry the trio were in on Atlanta Highway near New Street in Rockmart during a separate traffic stop.

Police followed the vehicle to a New Street address, where McCurley was reported to have gotten out of the vehicle and fled from officers on foot. The other two remained in the Camry and were taken into custody without further incident.

McCurley was found and detained by Rockmart Police after a foot chase, reports stated.

Per booking information, McCurley was still in custody as of the time of this report on a $32,500 bond for possession of methamphetamine, two counts of possession of methamphetamines with intent to distribute, possession and use of drug related objects, obstructing law enforcement officers and loitering or prowling.

Meadows was driving the vehicle had not yet had bond set on his charges and was still booked in jail as of this report on felony charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamines with intent to distribute, possession and use of drug related objects, obstructing law enforcement officers, loitering or prowling, reckless driving, laying drag and a parole violation charge.



Griffith was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession and use of drug related objects, obstructing law enforcement officers and loitering or prowling. She remained in the Polk County Jail as of March 16 on a $25,500 bond.
