Police: Louisiana Man fled from traffic stop for headlights, later jailed

A Louisiana man remained in jail on a $3,000 bond after he was arrested for fleeing from a traffic stop over not having his headlights on in the rain, according to Polk County Police reports.

Police noted the arrest of Terrence Terrel Brister, 22, of 4906 Morris Road, Hammond, Louisiana, on Sunday after police tried to pull him over for the headlight violation at 5:22 p.m.

Brister, who was driving a 2006 Dodge Charger with a Georgia, pulled into a gravel driveway on Highway 278 across from Victory Baptist Church, conducted a U-turn in the front yard, and sped away. Police at the time couldn’t catch up with Brister, but noted the tag number and followed up.

Per the report, he was taken into custody on Sunday just a few hours later.

He remained in jail on charges of a headlight violation, fleeing or attempting to elude police and obstruction of law enforcement officer.
