Ladon S. Ware

An early morning traffic stop on February 26 ended with the arrest of a driver and the discovery of a meth pipe, according to a Polk County Police report.

Ladon S. Ware, 36, of 130 Irwin St., Cedartown, was pulled over by Polk County Police at the intersection of Irwin at Verne Streets after he was found to have a broken tail light in the early morning hours this past Friday.

The report stated the officer was made aware that Ware was driving in an unregistered vehicle – a Dodge Durango – and was driving on a suspended license as well. He was taken into custody and his vehicle was searched before he was taken to the Polk County Jail for booking.

Officers reported finding a glass pipe in the space between the console and the driver’s seat with suspected methamphetamine residue.

Ware was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession and use of drug related objects, driving while license suspended or revoked, expired registration and tag lights required.

On Feb. 22, Ware was previously jailed and later released for no functioning brake lights, and driving on a suspended license.

He remained in the Polk County Jail as of Monday night on a $8,000 bond.
