Mr. Paul Cochran

Mr. Paul Cochran, age 80, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022, after a brief illness, at a local hospital.

He was born in Rockmart, Georgia on April 15, 1942 to his parents Leonard Ronald Cochran and Bertha Mae Hulsey Cochran who have preceded him in death.

Paul is survived by his wife, Carolyn Lester Cochran, his daughter Sheri Cochran Harbison, her husband, Joseph (Joey) M. Harbison and one grandson, Lester Paul Harbison.

Mr. Cochran is a faithful member of Lime Branch Baptist Church. Paul is a 1960 graduate of Cedartown High School. After graduation, he joined the United State Air Force. He served in Germany and London, England. He was a proud service member and loved his country. He was also a graduate of Floyd Junior College and a 1987 graduate of Jacksonville State University. He retired from the State of Georgia Revenue Department. Paul was the supervisor of the Rome, Georgia office.

Paul loved making pictures at family reunions, deer in Cades Cove, TN and he was an avid Georgia Tech fan.

The funeral will be at The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at twelve o’clock in the chapel. Internment will follow in the Northview Cemetery. with Rev. Wayne Benefield in charge of the services. Visitation will be Tuesday night from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will be pallbearers Tommy Grant, Jody House, Peter Siqueira, Dennis Gable, Larry Godwin, Jimmy Price, and Harlan Moody.

The family will be accepting flowers or memorial donations can be make to the Polk County Humane Society.
