Mr. Nolan Dabbs, age 83, of Rockmart, GA passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022 at his residence.
Mr. Dabbs was born in Rockmart, GA on March 14, 1939, a son of the late Marvin Dabbs and the late Ida Little Dabbs.
Nolan lived the greater part of his life in Rockmart where he was a member of Morning View Baptist Church.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of the Rockmart Masonic Lodge #97 F& AM since 1968. Nolan loved antique cars and was retired from General Motors.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty two years, Imogene Scott Dabbs on July 22, 2021; and a brother Randy Dabbs.
Mr. Dabbs is survived by his two children, Terry Dabbs of Taylorsville and Melanie Willis and her husband Randall of Rockmart; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Marvin and Jerry Dabbs; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Dabbs officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with Brown-Wright Post #12 American Legion Honor Guard in charge of military graveside rites.
Pallbearers will include Zach Dabbs, Talan Dabbs, Randall Willis, Jeremy Willis, Joey Terry, and Michael Sigers.
The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
