Mrs. Sherry Dabbs, age 77, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.
Mrs. Dabbs was born on June 2, 1944 in Rockmart, GA, to her late parents: William Womack Jr. and Edna Vaughn Womack.
Sherry lived all her life in Rockmart and was a member of Bellview Baptist Church for many years. She was retired from Polk School District. In her free time Sherry enjoyed boating, fishing, and spending time with her precious family and grandchildren, who she loved dearly.
Mrs. Dabbs was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James “Jimmy” Dabbs, who passed away on May 16, 2020 and her daughter, Jeanne Denise Dabbs.
Mrs. Dabbs is survived by her loving children: Lynn Gentry and her husband Alvin of Rockmart, GA, Alan Dabbs and his wife, Martha of Centre, AL, and Rusty Dabbs and his wife, Becky of Kingston, GA, 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sister, Deborah Shirey of Cedartown, GA, brother, Ronnie Womack of Carrollton, GA, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Dabbs will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 3:00 PM from Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Dabbs officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Mrs. Dabbs grandsons.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM.
