Mr. Jordy Lamar Roberson, age 36 of Summerville, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021.
He was born March 2, 1985 in Griffin, son of Cindy Lynn Roberson. Jordy was a former employee of the Ford Motor Company and was of the Baptist faith. His hobbies included drawing; he had a very artistic nature. He also played alto sax and guitar.
Mr. Roberson was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frances Marie Roberson and James Lydell Jackson; and a cousin, Scotty Lee Roberson.
Survivors include his mother, Cindy Roberson and step-father, Butch Ivey of Summerville; two brothers, Chris Roberson of Rockmart and Jay Chastain of Rome; and other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services for Mr. Roberson will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Buice officiating. Interment services will follow in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery of Rockmart.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Chris Roberson, Jay Chastain, Benji Gracia, Shade Couch, Carlos Hernandez and Roscoe Reddish.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
