The tally continues to climb in the past few days as more than $3,000 has been raised of a $10,000 goal in a fundraising campaign for the family of Cedartown High Senior Jean Carlo Rodriguez-Jacobo, who passed away unexpectedly last week.

A GoFundMe was setup by family members to help with the costs that the family now unexpectedly faces after Rodriguez-Jacobo’s passing early on Friday morning at their Collard Valley Road home.

A member of the Class of 2024, Rodriguez-Jacobo was honored between the girls and boys soccer game by teammates, family and friends at the games on Monday evening. Both the boys and girls squads pulled off wins over Darlington.

Additional donations were collected as CHS soccer scarves were sold and the proceeds donated to the family.

No information has been shared as of this posting about funeral services at this time.
