Mrs. Mary Kathryn Haney, age 83, of Rockmart, GA passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024.
She was born in Princeton, KY on February 15, 1940, a daughter of the late Stella Violet Williams Patterson.
Mary moved here in 1960 and met her husband, David two months later. She was a veteran of the United States Navy where she served as a nurse. She enjoyed word puzzles and anything John Wayne.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, David Clifton Haney; three children, Davey Haney, Greg Haney, and Scott Haney; step-daughter, Diane Bettis; step-grandson, John Thomas Bettis; and granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Haney.
Survivors include her children, Lynn Haddock, Jon Haney (Penny), and Jason Haney-Wright (Jimmy Wright); many grandchildren also survive.
Private graveside services were held.
Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory was in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Mary Kathryn Haney.
