Mr. Louis Rayford Rhodes, Jr., age 54, of Ellijay, GA, formerly of Aragon, GA, passed away Tuesday evening, August 30, 2022.
Louis was born in Austell, GA, on January 31, 1968, son of the late Louis Rayford Rhodes, Sr., and Ilene McElroy Rhodes. He had lived in the Temple, GA, area prior to moving to Aragon in 2016. Louis was a self-employed diesel mechanic and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a life-long motorcycle enthusiast.
In addition to his parents, Louis was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Rhodes and Terry Rhodes.
Louis is survived by his loving wife, Dollie Elizabeth Bryant Rhodes, whom, he married June 17, 2017; eight children, Misty (Tyler) Sanford, Buck (Tisha) Rhodes, Levi (Dixie) Byrd, Zakary Jeffers, Bo Sikorski, Bobbie Sikorski, Savanah (Brandon) Dilbeck, Cheyenne Bivens; two sisters, Charlotte (Tim) Simmons and Betty Jo Rhodes; one brother, Louis Glenn Rhodes. Five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Louis will be Saturday afternoon, September 3, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory with Bro. John Redding officiating.
Louis’ family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory Friday evening, September 2, 2022, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
