The Rockmart Cultural Arts Center is hosting plenty of late summer events for all to enjoy before school starts back and Fall begins to roll in.

As always, the RCAC provided Polk Today with a list of workshops and classes provided this summer, which you can check out in full below.

Coming up tomorrow, Saturday July 23, The Rockmart Theatre will have a Southern Rock and Country Music concert featuring three different bands, including Barb Wire & Lace, Allen Roy, and Jerry Davis and Family. Tickets are $20 at the door for the show (cash only). The show kicks off at 6 PM with Allen Roy, then at 7 PM with Jerry Davis & Family, and Barb Wire and Lace at 8 PM.

Starting Monday, July 25, new and participating RCAC members can join in on a free “Sit n’ Stitch” Adult Art Camp, which will run from Monday from 10 AM until 2 PM and every day until Friday, July 25. Members are welcome to bring their own supplies (quilt, knitting, crochet, stitch, felt, etc) for a week of creating unique pieces. There will also be some free donations of fabric and more. The Rockmart Community Chorus also starts back up next week! On Tuesday, July 26, the chorus will start their weekly meetings from 7 until 8 PM. Contact Debbie Miller for more information at 404-219-9572.

Later this summer, join in on a free Rockmart Book Club meeting, where local author Carol Harper will be talking about her book Of Face Value. The book club will meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 5 PM.

Children’s Pottery with Rene’ Hardy
