Mrs. Lisa Ann Hooper, age 66, of Cedartown, GA, passed away on September 6, 2023. Lisa was born on September 17, 1956, to the late Howard and Bobbie McElwee.
Lisa was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church and was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves. She retired from the Polk EMS Department after many years of service. Many know her as Lisa, but her favorite title was Meme and a Meme to all she was.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Randy Palmer, and mother and father-in-law, Doyce and Bobbie Hooper.
Meme is survived by her husband, Eddie Hooper; son, Chance Hooper; daughter, Jill McGee (Michael); brothers, Robb McElwee and Greg McElwee (Shannon); sister, Terry Tillery; grandchild, Harley McGee. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, and many honorary grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 9, 2023, from six o’clock until nine o’clock in the evening at Victory Baptist Church. Meme will lie in state at Victory Baptist Church on Sunday, September 10, 2023, beginning at three o’clock until the funeral hour. Her funeral will be held at Victory Baptist Church on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at four o’clock, with Barry Snapp officiating. The interment will follow the funeral service at the Northview Cemetery in Cedartown, GA.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Brandy Brady, Matt Pizano, Deric Jones, Denver Nale, Reece Tanner, and Nick Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Dusitn McElwee, Ryan McElwee, Jordan Hubbard, Joshua Hubbard, Jacob Hubbard, Dustin Little, Dylan Little, Todd Tillery, Zak Tillery, Braden Shelton, and Britt Brumby.
