Mr. Lawrence Robert Strickland, age 94 of Aragon, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022.
Mr. Strickland was born March 5, 1928 in Aragon, son of the late William Joshua Strickland & the late Laura Mae Mercillor McClure Strickland.
He was an Army Veteran and later worked as a lay-out man for Jervis B Webb Company. He was a member of Hope Road Church of God in Roswell, GA.
He enjoyed gardening and Braves baseball and loved his grandchildren and family dearly.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ella Louise Pruitt Strickland.
Mr. Strickland is survived by two sons, Gary Strickland and Robert Larry Strickland, both of Aragon; daughter, Bonnie (Barry) Hampton of Springville, AL; granddaughter, Katrina Hampton of Springville, AL; several brothers and sisters; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside inurnment services for Mr. Strickland will be held Friday, October 14, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. from Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Owen (Bud) Davis, Jr. officiating.
Freeman Harris Funeral Home of Rockmart is in charge of the memorial arrangements for Mr. Lawrence Robert Strickland.
