James Leon Camp

James Leon Camp, born in Relay, GA, age 81, son of the late Ellis Leon Camp and Lorene Atkins left his earthly home on February 13, 2023, surrounded by his loving wife of 30 years Myra Parker Camp.

Mr. Camp was a loving husband and father and loved spending time with his family. He was a hard worker and retired after many years from Flowers Incorporated.

He loved rocking on his front porch bird watching and enjoying nature. He loved spending quality time with his wife specially outdoors having picnics.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ellis Leon Camp and Lorene Atkins, his daughter Kimberly Mae Camp, his brother Larry Camp and his sisters Dorothy Mae Redmond and Margie Ruth Underwood.

He is survived by his wife Myra Parker Camp, his son, James Leon (Christy) Camp Jr., his stepsons Robert (Ann) Brock and Rick (Kristen) Brock, his daughter Vicky (Billy) Shirley, stepdaughter Karen Bagley, his grandchildren Cody Bridges, Shelby Law, Levi Bridges, Kaylee Camp, Savanna Brock, Derek Brock, Brandi Berry, Tim Shirley, Tyler Shirley, Jessie Steidl, John Steidl, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will include Cody Bridges, Levi Bridges, Chris Law, Billy Shirley, Robert Brock, and Rick Brock.

The family will hold a visitation at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, February 19, 2023, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, a funeral service will be held the next day on Monday, February 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM following Interment at Floyd Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Rev Ralph Parker Jr. will be officiating, his grandson Cody Bridges will be speaking.
