Mr. James Joseph Singleton, age 89 of Rockmart, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023.
Mr. Singleton was born May 28, 1933 in Durham, North Carolina, son of the late Harold Gilmore Singleton and the late Marion Lenore Bryson Singleton.
He was a 1952 graduate of Lee H. Edwards High School of Asheville, North Carolina and was a veteran of the United States Army.
James was a retired foreman having worked for Anaconda Aluminum Company of Opa-Locka, Florida. He enjoyed hunting, antiques and NASCAR, but loved his family and traveling.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Ruth Rainey Singleton of Rockmart; three daughters, Debra Singleton of Hiram, Kathy Singleton of Rockmart and Patricia Williams of Dunwoody; son, James Alan Singleton and his wife Carmen of Snellville; brother, David Gilmore Singleton of Morris, Alabama; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life for Mr. Singleton will be held at a later date.
Freeman Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the memorial arrangements for Mr. James Joseph Singleton.
