Mr. James “Gary” Paris, age 83 of Cedartown, passed away Friday December 15, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Paris was born August 19, 1940 in Cedartown to the late Mr. James Gordon Paris and the late Ora Lanham Paris.

After graduating from Cedartown High School, Mr. Paris met the love of his life, Nancy, to whom he was married for 58 loving years.

Mr. Paris enjoyed a long and successful career with Georgia Power, a career that lasted him over 40 years. A devoted family man, Mr. Paris was a hardworking family man and enjoyed working and taking care of his family.

Mr. Paris is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his loving wife, Nancy J. Paris; children, James Gary Paris, Jr., Bret Jackson Paris, Kelli Leigh Privett, and Andrea Clare Harrell; siblings, Richard Paris, Ronnie Paris, and Sue Turner; grandchildren, Darian, Devin, Drew, and Carissa; and great-grandchildren, Kagan, Kendra, Paris, and Zayden.

Funeral services for Mr. Paris will be conducted Wednesday December 20 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with Brother Tony Brazier officiating.

Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday December 20 from 12:00 PM until the service hour at 2:00 PM at the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as Pallbearers: Brett Paris, George Wills, Matt Johnson, Wade Bell, Kagan Floyd, & Michael Moore.
