Editor’s Note: One of the longtime features I enjoyed publishing in my previous role was the Pets of the Week, providing an opportunity for local organizations to find pets for adoption needing forever homes in Polk County. Polk Today is happy to provide this item again on a weekly basis, and these will be published as they become available. Please visit the Cedartown Polk County Humane Society’s website and consider making an adoption. Those who wish to partner with Polk Today for announcements like these can contact polktoday@gmail.com. -KtE

Dolly Pawton, Tammy Whinette, and Tayna Tuckered Out are all 3-month-old females who are Shepherd and Terrier mix. They are all around 12-14 lbs and will be about 20-25 lbs when fully grown. These sweet girls are loving, have lots of energy, and love running around and playing.

Dolly Pawton, Tammy Whinette, and Tayna Tuckered Out all get along with other dogs, cats, and kids. Though they are too young to be tested for heartworms, they have all been spayed and microchipped, and are current on their vaccines.

Zander is a beautiful light-orange domestic shorthaired male who is around a year old. This sweet kitten will sit in your lap for hours and snuggle if you let him and will rub his face against your hand when he wants to be petted.

He loves to play with the other cats and loves to get all of the attention. Zander has been neutered, microchipped, and is current on his vaccines.

These pets are available for adoption today at the Cedartown Polk County Humane Society at 3416 Rockmart Hwy., Cedartown. Those interested in making an adoption can contact the Humane Society at their website, or visit on Fridays and Saturdays from 2 to 5 p.m.
