Mr. Glenn Wayne Crumley, age 79, of Aragon, GA passed away on Tuesday morning, August 30, 2022 at his residence after an extended illness.
Mr. Crumley was born in Rockmart, GA on August 7, 1943, son of the late Allen Crumley and Zettie Hames Crumley. He grew up in Aragon, GA and attended Rockmart High School. Mr. Crumley married Gloria Baines Crumley on October 7, 1961. Mr. Crumley was retired from General Motors. He was an avid craftsman who enjoyed woodworking and collecting Indian artifacts.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Crumley was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Sheriff of Buchanan; sisters: Sarah Morgan, Annadale York, Ruth Ingle, and Margie Bailey; brother, Cecil Crumley.
Mr. Crumley is survived by his wife, Gloria Crumley of Aragon; three children: Glenda (Bill) Thoms of Marietta, Barry (Tracy) Crumley of Aragon, and Steven Crumley of Aragon; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Jeanette Head of Cedartown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Friday, September 2, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Eddy Hughes officiating and a eulogy given by Mr. Crumley’s daughter, Glenda Thoms. Inurnment will follow in Bethel Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 12:00 noon until the memorial hour at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lakeview Baptist Church in memory of Mr. Crumley.
