Mrs. Freida Gay Womack, age 68, of Bowdon, Georgia, passed away on December 21, 2021.
Mrs. Womack was born on October 26, 1953 in Rome, Georgia to the late Thomas and Dorothy Smith.
She was retired from Bowdon Elementary School where she had worked for many years as a paraprofessional. She was of the Baptist faith. She loved and lived life to the fullest.
She especially enjoyed traveling to the beach and mountains and to go camping. She had many friends whom she loved greatly and they loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Womack; her son, Dustin Womack; her daughters and sons-in-law, Chancey and Gene Madden and Kim and Michael Caldwell; her brothers and their spouses, Phil and Bonnie Smith, Tony and Brenda Smith, Leslie Smith, Tim and Daniel Smith; her sister and her spouse, Donna and Jack West; nine grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM in The Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Phil Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Rockmart Memory Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Brinkley, Adam Brinkley, Bryan Smith, Robert Rayburn, Kane Meeks, and Jackson Madden.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 27, 2021 from 12:00 PM until the service begins at 2:00 PM.
Mrs. Womack’s family will receive friends at Rainwater Funeral Home in Bowden, GA on Sunday, December 26, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
