Mr. Ernest William Haskin, Jr. age 85, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022. He was born on September 20, 1937 in Putnam County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Ernest W. Haskin, Sr. & Edith Jowers Haskin.
He retired from GE after 37 years working as a Draftsman and was a devoted member of Victory Baptist Church. He loved telling jokes, fishing, hunting, the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs, and especially he loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mr. Haskin is survived by his son, Stephen Ernest Haskin (Lisa); daughters, Conni Haskin Purser, Davina Haskin Williams (Todd), DeAnna Haskin Williams (David); grandchildren, Zachary Andrew Purser (Ashton), Charis Hope Rudeseal (Drew), William David Whatley, Daniel Lee Whatley, Christian Ryan Williams, Sarah Elizabeth Williams, Emma Caroline Williams, Christopher Stephen Haskin, Jacob James Haskin and Cierra Haskin Brabham; and numerous great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Mr. Haskin is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn Liner Haskin; and sisters, Atha Diprima and Marjorie Miller.
The funeral service for Mr. Ernest William Haskin, Jr. will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022 at three o’clock in the afternoon at Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Snapp officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.
The family of Mr. Haskin will receive family and friends from one o’clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at Victory Baptist Church.
The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers: Sonny Newton, Eddie Hooper, Brandy Brady, Michael Gravett, Gary Camp, Michael McGee, Steve Holcombe, and Isaac Shaw.
