Mrs. Edna Earl McBrayer, age 78, of Rockmart, GA passed away Friday, April 1, 2022 in a Rome, GA medical center.
She was born on August 31, 1943 a daughter of the late James Edgar Bollen and the late Pearl Sanders Bollen.
Edna had lived all of her life in Rockmart and was a graduate of Rockmart High School. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Floyd Medical Center.
She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and spending time with her girls.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. McBrayer; by two brothers: J.T. Bollen and Romas Bollen, Sr. and a sister, Frances Fincher.
Survivors include her daughter, Georgia McBrayer; granddaughter, Brooke Waits and her wife Whitney Waits; great granddaughter, Grayleigh Waits and a sister, Melbaline Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Dyer and Rev. Roger Parris officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include: Henry McBrayer, Billy Green, Junior Bollen, Sammy Smith, Bubba Hulsey and Kevin Carter. Todd Tyson will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
