Mrs. Dorothy L. Womack of Cedartown, GA. passed away on December 21, 2022.
Mrs. Womack was born on September 21, 1946, to the late Joseph and Charlotte Ledbetter.
Also preceding her is her husband of 53 years, Floyd Geston Womack.
Mrs. Womack retired after over 25 years of service at Darlington Lower and Upper Schools. Dorothy had a servant’s heart and always put everyone else before herself. She was a past member of the Barkers Homemakers Club in Lindale.
Dorothy loved donating to St. Judes and spending her time at the voting polls in Lake Creek.
She loved cooking and baking, whether it was a simple cake, milkshakes for the grandchildren, or a very detailed piece for a wedding.
Mrs. Womack had a unique way of making everyone feel like they belonged especially her “Special Angels”; Lori, Marina, Missy, Donna, Dale, Kat, Kathy, Pam, Brandi, and Anslee.
Surviving is her sons, Michael Womack (Deanna) and Randall Womack (Kena); brother David Ross Ledbetter; sister Martha Fuller (Jackie); grandchildren, Brandon Womack (Kaysi), Jewel Liner, Justin Womack (Tiffany), and Patrick Hayes; great-grandchild Dorothy Caroline Womack, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Monday, December 26, 2022, at two o’clock in the chapel of the Litesey Funeral Home, with Jeff Pilgrim and Garrett Rodgers officiating. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from one o’clock until the funeral hour.
