Mr. Dorian Crawford Mobley Sr.

Mr. Dorian Crawford Mobley Sr., age 78, of Cedartown, GA, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Mobley was born in Cave Spring, GA, to the late Edward Conner Mobley and the late Mildred Blanche Edge Mobley.

After high school, Mr. Mobley worked as a winder for General Electric until his retirement. After his retirement from General Electric, Mr. Mobley established Mobley & Sons Construction, a business in which he devoted much of his time and pride to building and installing swimming pools. A key source of pride for Mr. Mobley was also serving as Project Coordinator for the building of the Sweet Cocoon in Rome.

Mr. Mobley was a family man and loved his community, which was openly displayed by his membership as a Mason. Mr. Mobley was also a highly devoted lifelong Jackson Chapel Methodist Church member. In keeping with his service to his community, Mr. Mobley was honored to serve as Chairperson for the Cave Spring Community Thanksgiving Program.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Mobley is preceded in death by an infant son, as well as his son, Dorian Mobley, Jr.

Mr. Mobley is survived by his loving wife, Sue Mobley; son, Tracy Mobley and his wife Tracy; daughter-in-law, Kathy Mobley; grandchildren, Jessica Dyer (Cagney), Lukas Mobley (Rose), Lauren Beaird (Ethan), Aaron Mobley (Christina), Elizabeth Mobley, and Emma Mobley; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Mobley will be conducted on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Jackson Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Holt officiating. Interment will follow in the Jackson Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Litesey Funeral Home. Mr. Mobley will lie in state at the Church from 1:00 until the service hour at 2:00 PM.
