Mr. Donald Clyde “Donnie” Carter, age 64, of Aragon, GA passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022.
Donnie was born in Lithonia, GA on December 26, 1957, son of the late Clyde Carter and the late Rebecca Bradford Carter.
Donnie was well known for his ability to “trash talk” with anyone, his love of Georgia Tech Football, his “signature” red coffee cup, but most of all, for being a big kid at heart.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Rusty Carter; and sisters, Rhonda Bevel and Tracy Carter.
Donnie is survived by his wife, Dana Sutton Carter, Aragon; brother, Steven Carter, Antioch; son, Kevin (Jennifer) Carter, Aragon; daughters, Ashley (Luke) Woodward, Rockmart, Nikki (John) Stephenson, Antioch, and Karyn Rayburn, Aragon; ten grandchildren: Christian Hembree, Hunter Strange, Carley Stephenson, Wyatt Stephenson, Bentley Woodward, Colt Rayburn, Parker Thomas, Allie (Russell) Head, Lexi (Casey) Cook, and Jake Reeves.
In keeping with his wishes, Donnie will be cremated, and the family will gather for a visitation for family and friends Sunday, December 11, 2022, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
This will provide an opportunity to celebrate Donnie’s life by sharing stories and memories with one another. The family encourages wearing anything Hot Pink in honor of Donnie’s favorite color.
