Mr. Dewey Snapp

Mr. Dewey Snapp, age 76, of Silver Creek, stepped into Heaven on Monday, February 28, 2022, at his residence.

Mr. Snapp was born in Dandridge, Tennessee on March 2, 1945, son of the late Glenn Snapp and the late Alice Rainwater Snapp. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Slover Snapp.

Mr. Snapp worked for Magnavox in Jefferson City, TN and at Ford Motor Company in Atlanta prior to working at Bekaert Steel Wire in Rome until his retirement.

He was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church in Rockmart where he was a member of the Outreach Sunday School Class, Iron Sharpens Iron Men’s Ministry, and served as a greeter for several years.

Survivors include his wife, Amy Thompson Snapp; three children, Barry Snapp (Stephanie), Silver Creek, Letitia Hines (Kenny), Silver Creek, and Missey Gomez (Johnny), Cave Spring; grandchildren, Chelzee McCollum, Dylan Cooper, and Joseph Cooper (Katelynn); great grandchildren, Tyler McCollum, Nolan Barrett, and Kohen Cooper Bennett; a sister, Ann Moore (Tom), Brunswick, OH; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at 2pm at Victory Baptist Church in Rockmart with the Pastor Barry Snapp and the Rev. Harold Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Victory Baptist Church in Rockmart on Thursday from 11:30am until 1:30pm.

Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Victory Baptist Church on Thursday at 1:30pm and include: Active: Kenny Hines, Johnny Gomez, Dylan Cooper, Joseph Cooper, Kevin Pruitt, and Jordan Penson. Honorary: Chelzee McCollum, David Bray, Joe Foss, Tony Bowling, Ricky Bowers, David Williams, and Charles Callaway.




Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the Lasting Legacy Building Fund at Victory Baptist Church, 15 Hendrix Road, Rockmart, GA 30153.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, has charge of the arrangements.
