Mr. David Charles Lorenz, age 63, of Rome, GA, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

David was born on March 9, 1961, and had lived the greater part of his life in Floyd County.

He was a heavy equipment operator for Scorpion Realty and loved running heavy machinery.

David was a true American cowboy and had a love for riding horses.

David is survived by a daughter, Kaila (Garrett) Stevens; two grandsons, Hudson and Grayson Stevens; special pet companions, his mule, Mae, and his dog, Sugar; close friends, Clay, Jr., Eddie, Steve, Don, and Greg.

A Celebration of Life for David will be held Friday, June 28, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with eulogies provided by Larry Garland and Clay Hulsey.

There will be a time of fellowship and meal following the service.
