A new command promotion was announced for the Cedartown Fire Department on Tuesday, with a longtime firefighter getting the opportunity to advance his career.

Many of you know firefighter Jose Nevarez, but did you know he was promoted to lieutenant last week? Well, now you know!
Lt. Nevarez has been putting out fires and saving lives with the Cedartown Fire Department since 2005. Help us congratulate him on his deserved promotion!
