Mr. Charles Ernest Coleman, age 82, of Cedartown, GA, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022.

Mr. Coleman was born on November 13, 1939, in Mobile, AL, to his parents, Frank Coleman and Margaret Kemphus Coleman.

Charles was a proud United States Army Veteran having served in the 101st Airborne Division.

He was a retired tower crane operator and had also worked as a dairy farmer for 20 years. Charles was a member of First Baptist Church of Sandy Plains and also a member of The International Union of Operating Engineers Local #487. Mr. Coleman was a problem solver, and his family will miss his love and how he always made them feel safe and secure.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Frank Coleman, Donald Coleman and Gilbert Coleman; daughters: Tina Coleman Pope and Connie Pierce and granddaughter, Stephanie Pope.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Margaret Coleman; daughter, Linda Doggrell; grandchildren: Constance Fallin, Charlese Pope and Calla Pope; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Herndon Coleman and sister, Virginia Keel.

In keeping with the family’s wishes, Mr. Coleman will be cremated, and no formal services are being planned at this time.
