Mr. Charles Edward Novinger, age 70, of Cedartown, GA, passed away January 17, 2024.
Mr. Novinger was born September 23, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio.
After high school, Mr. Novinger served as a decoder in the United States Air Force, where he traveled to various parts of the world, including Germany and Vietnam.
Mr. Novinger then obtained his associates degree in management and worked as Manager for Kroger, a job where he became known by many.
Mr. Novinger was known for his love to read, especial Civil War history. He also loved card games, Solitaire and Spades, bowling, golf, and smoking his pipe. An avid sports fan as well, he loved the Cincinnati Reds, Bangles, and the Braves.
His love of sports carried over to his personal life, where he became a Little League Baseball coach. Mr. Novinger was known and loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Mr. Novinger is survived by his loving wife, Dianne Novinger; children, Julian Brent Novinger (Samantha), Charles Taylor Novinger (Lauren), Dustin Novinger, Tresha Ann Bennett (Troy), and Phebe Wright (Matt); sister, Denise Culp; grandchildren, Khristen Lanham, Courtney Overstreet, Hayden Overstreet, Caleb Overstreet, J.R. Novinger, and Knox Novinger; and great-grandchildren, Easton and Harper Overstreet.
In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Novinger will be cremated and a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Tunnel of Towers Foundation.
