Charles Barrett Davis, Jr., age 67, of Rome, GA, peacefully passed away Sunday morning, February 18, 2024.

Charles was born in Nuremberg, Germany on July 17, 1956, a son of the late Charles Barrett Davis Sr. and Joann Janet Sanders Davis.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and dedicated his life to various careers including working at TipTop Poultry and within the Paulding School District before becoming disabled.

Having pursued some college education at Cessna Technical College, Charles was known for his passion for collecting various items and indulging in tinkering with them. His creativity and love for hands-on activities left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

A man of great character and dedication, Charles is survived by his sons Joey (Jessica) Davis and Matthew Davis, his cherished grandchildren Kylee Davis, Blayton Davis, Eathyn Davis, and Eyn Davis, as well as his sisters Laura Wolf and Dora Crenshaw, and his brothers Billy (Tammy) Davis and Steven (Toni) Davis. He also leaves behind the mother of his children, Janis Wallace, along with several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service to honor the life of Charles B. Davis will be held at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. James Cordell officiating. Inurnment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Charles’ family will receive friends at Alvis miller & Son Funeral Home Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.

Charles’ legacy of kindness and creativity will forever be remembered by those whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace as his spirit lives on through the memories shared by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
