Mrs. Beverly June Millhollan Hollingshed Rose, age 83 of Rockmart, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023.
Mrs. Rose was born May 18, 1939 in Rockmart, daughter of the late Carl Jasper Millhollan and the late Flora Ethel Head Millhollan. She loved kids and made her living taking care of others’ children.
She was a woman of many hobbies: including reading, puzzles, photography, and making photo albums. She was also an accomplished writer, having articles published in the LaGrange Newspaper. She loved her family and was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wendell Hollingshed; children, Crystal, Gregory, and Carla Hollingshed; and brother, E. S. Donald “Sonny” Millhollan.
Survivors include her husband, Lynn Rose of Cartersville; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Robert Davis of Rockmart; two grandchildren, Rachel (Josh) Ferguson and Carly (Patrick) Maner; and three great-grandchildren, Addy Grace Ferguson, Jasper Ferguson, and Noah Maner.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rose will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. David Warriner officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, followed by a Balloon Celebration by Addy Grace Ferguson.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Josh Ferguson, Patrick Maner, James Fricks, Jacob Whittemore, and Tim Hollingshed.
Junior pallbearers will be Jasper Ferguson and Noah Maner.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 6, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
